THE STORY OF THE SHIP
ABOUT
PTSD veterans often struggle with depressing and disturbing symptoms that affect all areas of their lives. But for those who join the "HaSphina Shata" association, there is hope and an opportunity to deal with their trauma in a new and healing way - through sea sailing. With the help of a skilled team of volunteers who have undergone the same path of self-rehabilitation, this association offers empowering sea experiences that help PTSD veterans deal with their symptoms and begin the recovery process.
Sailing as a way of mental healing
For many PTSD veterans, sailing at sea is a healing and empowering experience. During the practice, the participants learn to work in a team, face challenges and take responsibility for specific roles on the ship. This process helps them develop social skills, self-confidence and a sense of control - all of which cause a significant relief of PTSD symptoms.

What makes the "HaSphina Shata" association particularly special is the skilled team of volunteers who have themselves undergone a mental rehabilitation process. These are people who have dealt with the same trauma in the past and are now able to contribute from their personal experience and help others on their way to recovery. They serve as role models and provide personal and warm support to the participants, while imparting the knowledge and skills required for sailing at sea
"Hasfina Shata" community
A supportive and empowering community The "HaSphina Shata" association not only provides healing sea experiences, but also creates a supportive and empowering community for the participants.
During the activities, the participants maintain meaningful social relationships, develop a sense of belonging and find mutual support in dealing with their challenges. This is an opportunity to rebuild social life and start the recovery process in a safe and encouraging environment.
Professional training
The "HaSphina Shata" association offers participants the opportunity to acquire for yacht sailing lessons in order to get their sailing licence. This is professional training that gives the participants important tools for their future, while helping them deal with post-traumatic symptoms. The studies include theoretical and practical instruction in topics such as navigation, safety at sea and ship maintenance, and provide participants with a recognized sailing certificate.
How can you keep us sailing
This is an appeal to you for a donation in order to continue and expand the association's activities following the events of 7/10/23 and the wave of combat warriors who will surely need assistance and rehabilitation. In order for us to be able to help and assist more post trauma victims, the association "Hasfina Shata" needs financial support. If you are interested in donating, please contact us. Together, we can give trauma victims the opportunity to begin the recovery process and return to living a full and meaningful life.
